Ball Valves Application Engineer

SAMSON CONTROLS SOLUTIONS, ABU DHABI is looking for Application Engineer to provide quality & professional technical proposal and Engineering support to SAMSON GROUP customer base in Middle East/Africa regions. Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Individual will be responsible for sizing, selection and pricing of Rotary / Linear Valve Automation products of SAMSON GROUP.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The application Engineer must work with the customer to define their requirements and should be customer centric in execution of their tasks. Work closely with them in proposing the right solution.
• Support outside sales team and customers / EPCs in the Oil & Gas industry with techno commercial proposals for focused Isolation, automated valve and actuator products of SAMSON Group.
• Provides technical expertise, applications review, product information and selection of SAMSON Group products.
• Provides sales team and customers with technical and commercial quotations specifying all the technical and commercial terms and conditions.
• Presents applications and product information at training seminars.
• Reviews customer purchase orders / contracts for correct pricing and specifications /part numbers and processes according to SAMSON procedures.
• Reviews customer’s specifications and works with them to propose a solution.
• Isolation valve & actuator sizing and instrumentation selection.
• Report to Management on Percentage of Completion jobs progress, monthly/weekly/whenever required by the Management.
• Prepared to work out of office hours to complete the task in hand when requested to do so.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in reputed valve industry
• Experience working with EPCs and general contractors covering major Oil & Gas specifications such as SHELL, TOTAL, ADNOC, ARAMCO etc.
• Valve sizing and selection experience (Ball /Butterfly / Pneumatic & Hydraulic actuators, automation)
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Strong personal discipline.
• Experience in working with sizing and selection tool
• Fluent in using Microsoft Office products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED9,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• reputed valve industry: 3 years (Required)

• Arabic, English, Spanish (Preferred)
