Ballistics Data Acquisition Engineer

We are hiring for a Ballistics Data Acquisition Engineer position at Picatinny Arsenal in support of the U.S. Army.

What will you be doing?

The Ballistics Data Acquisition Engineer must have knowledge of high-speed camera operation for different Phantom models. Experience must include camera setup, video acquisition and processing, and camera hardware and software troubleshooting. The right candidate will also have basic data acquisition and processing skills and LabView programming. Basic knowledge of instrumentation hardware setup, troubleshooting and repair is desirable along with knowledge of National Instruments hardware setup and connection. Additionally basic understanding of the operation of a Weibel radar to include hardware and software setup, and radar tracking analysis is desired. Basic networking skills in Microsoftg Windows Operating System is also preferred.

What education and experience are necessary?

• Technician Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in camera setups, video and data acquisition and processing, instrumentation and hardware setups, software troubleshooting and repair
• Phantom High-Speed Certification
• LabView programming, processing and data acquisition
• National Instruments hardware and setup knowledge
• Weibel radar operation

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
