The ECHS Manager (BAMS Doctor) is responsible for managing all ECHS-related operations, including patient coordination, documentation, billing processes, pre-authorization, and compliance with ECHS guidelines. The role requires medical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with empanelled ECHS authorities efficiently.
ECHS Operations Management
- Oversee daily functioning of the ECHS helpdesk and ensure smooth patient flow.
- Guide patients and attendants regarding ECHS procedures, entitlement, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to ECHS referral policies, treatment guidelines, and approval protocols.
Patient Coordination
- Verify ECHS card, referral letter, and eligibility before admission.
- Coordinate with doctors for treatment plans, required investigations, and documentation.
- Provide counselling to ECHS patients regarding treatment, approvals, and discharge steps.
- Scrutinize case sheets, treatment records, investigation reports, and discharge summaries as per ECHS norms.
- Prepare and review ECHS billing files with proper supporting documents.
- Ensure accuracy in coding, rate adherence, and package compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) – Mandatory
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital operations, TPA/ECHS handling preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, treatment procedures, billing documentation
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-resolution skills
