Bank Teller

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly team player to join our team and drives operational excellence in our bank. In this vital role, your attention to detail will provide efficient, excellent, and accurate service to our customers while ensuring compliance with bank policy and procedures and support our mission and enhance overall productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accepts deposits, loan payments, process checking and savings account withdrawals and closing accounts.
• Examine checks for endorsements and legality of the checks presented.
• Maintains adequate cash in the cash drawer to provide cash transactions requested.
• Adhere to bank policy and procedures when dealing with customer’s transactions with accuracy.
• Balance cash drawer daily, scanning or capturing of teller transactions. Assist and verify cash shipment in and out.
• Issuing cashier’s check and redeem savings bonds; Process night drop deposits and deposits by mail; Work with supervisor to balance ATM daily.
• Helping Safe Deposit Box customers in and out of safe deposit box.
• Promote and cross sell bank’s products and services.
• Project a professional imagine in appearance and verbal conversation with positive attitude when dealing with customers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cash handling in any business as a cashier or bank teller preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations and has sense to identify potential fraud/risk of the teller transaction to take appropriate action to prevent loss.
• Effective communication skills in writing and verbally; Comprehending customer issues/needs and recommending solutions.
• Demonstrate ability to enforce policy and procedures while maintaining a positive attitude in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to use basic office equipment such as calculator/adding machines, copier, scanner, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, computer, words, windows, excel and computer.

Job Requirements:

- Has knowledge and on the job experience in handling cash, checks, ACH,

ATM, night depository, and wire in a banking environment.

- Understand and know Federal banking regulations.

- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Can read, write, and speak fluently preferred.

- Customer service oriented, friendly, and team players. Excellent communication skills.

- Know how to handle currency counters, scanner, encoding machine, copier, and computer.

- Able to work under stress.

Experience:

Previous Banking teller experience in financial institution for at least 1 year is preferred.

or Cash handling experience for one year.

Education level: High School graduate. Degree in Business or Finance or Banking is preferred.

Other Skills:

Understand and operate computer, copier, scanner, currency counter, computer, calculator and adding machines.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
