BANK TELLER (full-time)

SUMMARY:

Tellers are important members of the Bank team and are responsible for making the customers feel valued. A teller is someone who operates a teller window, accurately processing a variety of banking transactions. A teller will provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer service while representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner. A teller listens to help identify the customer’s needs and then offers suitable Bank products and services or, if necessary, refers the customer to the appropriate department to meet the customer’s needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Provide the highest quality service to all customers and exceed their expectations

 Accurately and efficiently process financial transactions

 Comply with Bank policies and procedures including but not limited to:

o Maintain confidentiality of all customer account information

o Gaining working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act

o Obtaining appropriate identification documentation from Bank customers or non-customers

o Abide by and utilize dual control to process certain financial transactions

 Answer customer inquiries, process night/ATM deposits, and vault transactions.

 Perform clerical duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

 High school graduate or equivalent or involvement in a high school co-op or other school related program

 Ability to use computer, with basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications with accurate keyboard typing skills

 Cash handling, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred

 Ability to comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions

 Good verbal and written communication skills including telephone skills

 Ability to operate standard office equipment and equipment specific to teller functions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 May require lifting bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds

 May require standing for extended periods of time

 May require bending and stooping

HOURS:

40 hours per week (full-time), Monday -Friday, some Saturdays

Salary based on experience.
