About Us:

Bank of South Texas is dedicated to providing exceptional financial services and building strong relationships with our customers. We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Bank Teller will serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly,efficient, and accurate banking services. This role requires strong communication skills,attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while handling financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.

Process a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier’s checks.

Balance cash drawer daily and maintain accurate records of transactions.

Verify identification and ensure compliance with all bank policies, security procedures, and federal regulations.

Assist customers with account inquiries, resolve issues, and refer them to appropriate banking staff when needed.

Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs.

Handle currency, checks, and other negotiable instruments with accuracy and security.

Maintain confidentiality of all customer information.

Support branch operations by assisting with vault duties, ATM balancing, and other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred.

Strong math and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.

Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Basic computer skills; knowledge of banking software a plus.
