Bankruptcy Paralegal

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal (Western Washington experience preferred)to provide critical support to our attorneys in managing Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases for debtors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the electronic filing system and the ability to manage all facets of the bankruptcy case life cycle with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Oversee case management workflow, track case status from initial filing of client to discharge, and ensure all critical deadlines are met.
• Document Preparation: Draft and prepare various legal documents, amendments, petitions, and statements for attorney review.
• Filing & Procedures: Handle all aspects of electronic court filings using the Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system for federal bankruptcy courts.
• Client & Creditor Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, interview clients to gather necessary financial data, and communicate with creditors, trustees, and the court on case-related matters.
• Document Organization: Collect, review, and organize financial paperwork, case files, and exhibits, maintaining meticulous digital and physical records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
