The Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center, under the ownership and management of Paramount Hotels, is seeking On-Call Banquet Bartender to join our Banquets Team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Banquet Bartenders are responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial performance.

Banquet Servers are expected to adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable local regulations while consistently providing service that reflects the hotel’s standards of hospitality and care.

The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, and service-oriented, with a strong focus on anticipating and meeting guest needs. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask effectively, exercise sound judgment, and take pride in contributing to a positive and memorable guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

· Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes, portion controls, and hotel standards

· Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to guests during events; greet guests and respond promptly to inquiries, requests, and special orders

· Set up, stock, maintain, and break down banquet bars based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring all required supplies and equipment are available

· Ensure accuracy and consistency in drink preparation, even during high-volume service periods

· Verify guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company responsible beverage service standards; respond appropriately to intoxicated guests

· Accurately process guest transactions when applicable, including operating POS systems, handling cash, and processing credit cards, vouchers, and other forms of payment

· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area before, during, and after events, including proper handling and storage of perishable items and garnishes

· Stock and replenish bar inventory (beer, wine, spirits, glassware, ice, and supplies) and report shortages, breakage, or equipment issues

· Communicate and coordinate effectively with banquet captains, servers, and culinary team to ensure seamless event execution

· Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines

· Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Minimum of 1–2 years of bartending experience required; hotel, banquet, or high-volume event experience strongly preferred

· Current alcohol service certification or ability to obtain upon hire

· Proven ability to prepare a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails with consistency and speed

· Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and standard drink recipes

· Ability to follow event specifications, banquet event orders (BEOs), and standard recipes with precision

· High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability

· Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume banquet or event environments with multiple bars or service points

· Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with banquet captains, servers, and culinary team

· Strong observational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, team members, and emergency personnel

· Service-oriented mindset with a calm, approachable, and professional demeanor

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs

· Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed

· Basic math and cash handling skills (when applicable)

· Basic computer proficiency, including incident reporting systems, email, and hotel/property management systems preferred

· Understanding of hotel operations and guest privacy standards preferred

· Successful completion of a background check and reliable transportation

Job Type: On-Call

Pay: $17.13 upon hire, $18.93 after 90 days.

Expected hours: On-Call

Shift:
