Banquet Server

The Crowne Plaza Phoenix-Chandler Golf Resort is hiring for on-call Banquet Servers.

What will I be doing?

At Crowne Plaza San Marcos Chandler-Phoenix, we strive to exceed guest expectations in accommodations, food/beverage, and customer service. Banquet Server staff is essential to this mission. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Serving food to guests as directed; assisting with buffet lines as needed
Answering guest questions and respond to guest requests
Communicating specials and other food options to guests, such as for guests with food allergies or other health preferences
Setup, Cleanup, and Prepare tables on an ongoing basis and as part of opening and closing duties
Some light equipment maintenance
Clearing and cleaning tables
Carrying dishes to scrape station
Thanking guests for their visit and encouraging them to return to the hotel
Serving drinks to multiple tables during events
Accurately tracking and reporting ticket and tip amounts
Resolving occasional guest complaints with appropriate guest recovery actions
Other duties as-assigned

· Possess a thorough understanding of local area, including attractions and directions

High School diploma or equivalent. Previous Banquet Serving experience is required, preferably one year or more. However, training may be provided for outstanding candidates who lack previous professional experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule that fluctuates with hotel and client needs. Must be able to communicate clearly.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in/outdoors. To fully perform their duties, Banquet Servers will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move continuously during work hours. Must be able to lift and/or carry 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
