Banquet Server – Job Description

Position Summary:
Banquet Servers are responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service during events while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. This role supports event setup, service, and breakdown.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down banquet tables, chairs, linens, and service stations
• Properly set tables according to event standards, including place settings and napkin folds
• Serve food and beverages following client and service style requirements
• Carry and serve trays with 8–10 plates with lids safely and efficiently
• Assist with clearing tables and resetting during and after events
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and event staff

Required Certifications:

• Food handlers Certifications
• Valid BASSET Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods during events

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of various banquet service styles (plated, buffet, family-style, cocktail)
• Must have fine dining experience
• Understanding of formal and informal table settings
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude

Banquet Setup - Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Setup/Breakdown: Execute, break down, and clean event rooms, including moving, folding, and storing heavy tables, chairs, and staging equipment.
• Layout Compliance: Arrange furniture, linens, table settings, and AV equipment according to specific, pre-determined diagrams.
• Maintenance: Ensure the venue remains clean and organized, including vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning windows, walls, and lighting fixtures.
• Equipment Storage: Properly transport and store equipment in designated storage areas.
