The Bar Associate provides a high-quality guest experience by preparing and serving cannabis-infused beverages and concentrates, including dabs, in accordance with safety and compliance standards. This role blends traditional bar service with cannabis product knowledge and equipment handling to support a dynamic, social consumption environment. Bar Associates are cross-trained to deliver exceptional service in both canna-cocktail and concentrate settings.
Greet and engage guests with a warm, welcoming demeanor
Prepare and serve THC-infused drinks and cannabis concentrates using compliant techniques
Educate guests on cannabis beverage options, effects, and dab rig usage
Guide new users in safe consumption practices and equipment use
Monitor guest cannabis consumption and ensure responsible service
Upsell specials or promotions to enhance guest experience
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the bar and dab service areas
Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and digital transactions accurately
Communicate guest needs or concerns promptly to Leads or Managers
Assist in setting up lounge areas for events or high-traffic periods
Follow all compliance protocols, including proper ID checks and product handling
Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in a licensed cannabis establishment
Previous experience in bar service, cannabis hospitality, or customer-facing roles preferred
Strong knowledge of safe cannabis consumption practices or willingness to learn
Ability to explain cannabis product effects, potency, and proper usage to guests
Comfortable handling dab rigs, e-nails, torches, or other concentrate equipment (training available)
Cash handling and POS system experience required
Excellent communication and multitasking skills in high-volume settings
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly
Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor lounge areas where cannabis is actively consumed
Subject to loud music, fluctuating temperatures, and close interaction with guests
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Shifts may extend beyond regular hours during peak business periods or special events. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
This position is located within a consumption venue, which includes high-energy service areas where cannabis is consumed. The role involves guest interaction, cannabis exposure, and participation in a unique, fast-paced hospitality setting.
