Bar Bending Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) against structural drawings.
• Check reinforcement details (laps, bends, hooks, spacing, cover) and ensure compliance with UAE codes (DM, Trakhees, ADM, etc.) and ACI/BS standards.
• Identify discrepancies, errors, or missing details in drawings and provide clear comments/markups.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM modelers, and site teams to resolve detailing issues.
• Support site execution teams by clarifying rebar placement and constructability concerns.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
• 3–8 years’ experience in BBS preparation and drawing review (UAE/GCC preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (Structural), Excel.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing, BBS preparation, and UAE standards.
• Ability to produce precise, practical review comments for rebar works.
