Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bar / Floor Manager to help lead our vibrant restaurant team. Reporting to our Director of Food and Beverage; in this dynamic role, you will help oversee daily operations of the bar and dining room floor, ensuring exceptional hospitality, efficient food and beverage service, and smooth management of staff. Your leadership will drive a lively atmosphere, uphold high standards, and help coordinate all aspects of restaurant management to deliver memorable, bespoke, guest experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about hospitality and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar and floor operations, ensuring seamless service during all shifts
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Toast), and food safety protocols
  • Manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
  • Oversee bar cash handling procedures, including balancing registers and preparing financial reports
  • Coordinate shift schedules, assign tasks, and ensure proper staffing levels for busy periods
  • Enforce health and safety standards related to food handling, kitchen management, and alcohol service
  • Support culinary team with food production oversight when necessary, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to foster a welcoming environment for guests

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bar and restaurant management within a fine dining or upscale casual dining environment
  • Strong background in supervising teams with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast; cash handling experience required
  • Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety regulations
  • Experience with food handling procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Hospitality management background with fine dining or banquet experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in staff training & development, interviewing potential team members, and shift management
  • Previous hotel or catering experience is a plus; barista or coffee experience is beneficial
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service with a positive attitude
