Bar Lead

Overview

Join the opening team at Beren Meze & Grill House, a new Mediterranean restaurant bringing vibrant flavors, craft cocktails, and a lively atmosphere to the community. With our Grand Opening on April 1st, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Bar Lead / Bartender to run our bar program.

This is a key position responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while helping set the tone, organization, and efficiency of the bar. You’ll be the primary bartender during slower hours and lead the bar team during higher-volume shifts.

Schedule

• Wednesday – Sunday
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Typically 1 bartender during slower periods, 2 bartenders during peak hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer
• Lead bar operations during shifts and ensure smooth, efficient service
• Provide friendly, high-energy guest interaction and service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Assist in training and supporting additional bartenders as volume grows
• Work closely with servers to ensure timely drink service
• Monitor responsible alcohol service and follow all TABC guidelines
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
• Help develop consistency in drink preparation and presentation

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required (lead or high-volume experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
• Ability to work independently and lead during shifts
• Comfortable in both slower-paced and high-volume environments
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Reliable and consistent availability for scheduled shifts
• POS experience (Aloha, Micros, or similar) is a plus

Pay

$15 per hour + tips
