Bar Server

About the Role

Ventosa Vineyards is seeking professional, energetic Event Bartenders to join our team for weddings and private events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences in a beautiful vineyard setting overlooking Seneca Lake.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient bar service for weddings and private events
• Prepare and serve wine, beer, and mixed drinks in accordance with event menus
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service
• Set up and break down bar stations before and after events
• Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Work closely with event coordinators and banquet staff to ensure seamless service
• Handle cash and/or POS transactions accurately (if applicable)
• Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of wine service and basic cocktails (wine knowledge strong plus)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume event setting
• Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working weddings or large-scale events
• Familiarity with Finger Lakes wines
• TIPS or other alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Seasonal peaks (spring, summer, fall wedding season)
