Bar Tender/Manager

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Supervise and train staff on food preparation, beverage service, customer interaction, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels for beverages and supplies; place orders as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Lead staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff on food presentation, food handling procedures, and catering or banquet services when applicable.
  • Support budgeting efforts by tracking sales data and managing costs related to food and beverage production.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or bartending within quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality settings.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to train & develop team members effectively.
  • Background in restaurant management, food industry operations, or culinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead shift management activities including interviewing potential staff members.
  • Experience in casual dining or hotel environments is advantageous; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
