Barback/Service Well Bartender

A modern taqueria and cantina with bold flavors, bright colors, and elevated takes on traditional classics. With a large open-air dining space, full bar, fire pits, and a private balcony event area, our goal is to create a vibrant, high-energy, and welcoming experience for every guest.

We are looking for motivated barbacks with a strong work ethic, positive energy, and a passion for hospitality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with restaurant experience seeking to grow into a bartending role.

At The Firefly, our barbacks are an essential part of the bar team and are trained in cocktail execution, bar operations, and high-volume service with clear opportunities for advancement into bartending based on performance.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and assist with service well cocktails, beer, and wine in a high-volume environment
• Support bartenders to ensure fast, efficient, and accurate service
• Interact with guests, take orders when needed, and provide menu recommendations
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization at all times (glassware, tools, surfaces, etc.)
• Stock and restock liquor, beer, wine, juices, syrups, and bar supplies
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift prep duties
• Work as part of a fast-paced team to create a seamless guest experience

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (kegs, cases, ice, etc.) and stand for extended periods
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
