Duties

• Provide expert hair styling, haircutting, coloring, and finishing services tailored to each client’s preferences and features.
• Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to enhance overall client satisfaction.
• Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills—listening carefully to their needs and offering professional recommendations.
• Manage retail sales by upselling hair care products, styling tools, and beauty accessories aligned with client needs.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and managing the flow of the salon.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, color theory, store management practices, and customer service excellence.
• Support store management in daily operations, including inventory control and retail math calculations to maximize sales opportunities.
• Conduct consultations on hair care routines and product recommendations to foster long-term client relationships.

Experience

• Proven experience as a licensed cosmetologist or barber with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in hair styling, coloring, and grooming techniques.
• Hands-on expertise in advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and straight razor shaves.
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar platforms for booking and client management.
• Knowledge of color theory principles to achieve desired results safely and effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in sanitation practices adhering to health regulations within a salon environment.
• Strong communication skills capable of engaging clients professionally while providing personalized consultations.
• Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling products that complement services offered.
• Ability to mentor team members on technical skills such as hair threading or advanced styling techniques while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
