Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating spaces.
• Handle cash and card payments confidently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling practices to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Good math skills for cash handling, retail math, and basic calculations related to sales transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café environment, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
