Barista

Job Overview

Our baristas will be responsible for making and serving beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty beverages as well as preparing and heating breakfast and lunch items. They are responsible for taking customer orders and payments. They also clean and sanitize their work areas, seating areas, and equipment/tools. They may also be responsible for providing customer recommendations and maintaining a fun and upbeat environment in the shop.

Preferred Availability

Weekdays & Weekends 5:30 am-8:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Make drinks
• Make Sandwiches, Salads and other Food Items
• Take orders and payments
• Assist with food preparation and serving
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Assist with stocking and inventory

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of trends in the coffee industry
• Basic money-handling skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with patrons and team members
• Self-motivated and inspiring
• Ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Availability during operational hours (may include nights, weekends, and holidays)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of work experience
• 1 or more years of barista experience
• Ability to prepare a variety of beverages
• Food safety certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
