Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista / Server to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations.
• Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines during food handling and preparation.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in the coffee industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely beverage preparation and service.
