Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
• Operate POS systems such as Square POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and service areas.
• Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs promptly.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic retail math calculations.
• Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to support café operations smoothly.

Experience

• Prior barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and serving standards within the food industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
• Experience in coffee preparation, serving, or retail environments is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
