Blk Dot Coffee was founded on Vietnamese slow-drip coffee that is bold, concentrated, and meant to fuel your day. Our mission: to make bold coffee the everyday standard for modern life.

Our flagship drink, the VTM® Coffee, is made fresh daily, slow-dripped overnight, sweetened with house made creamers and served over ice. It's stronger than espresso, smoother than cold brew, and unlike anything else you've tried.

We're growing from 11 locations to 20+ across Orange County and Los Angeles, and we need people who want to grow with us.

Your RoleCreate Real Connections with Guests

• Greet guests with genuine energy
• Help people discover what they actually want
• Explain why our drinks are different
• Make sure every guest leaves thinking "I want to come back here"

Make Food and Drinks That Meet the Standard

• Execute food and drink recipes with consistency and speed
• Understand flavor profiles
• Recommend modifications that improve the drink
• Maintain quality during rush periods

Keep the Line Moving

• Take orders accurately
• Organize cups chronologically on the bar
• Communicate with the team
• Support wherever needed during peak times

Work as Part of a Team

• Support teammates during rushes (jump on bar, restock, run food)
• Ask questions when you're unsure (better to clarify than guess)
• Give and receive feedback to improve service
• Keep the energy positive even when it's busy

What We're Looking For

We don't care if you've never made coffee before. We care about:

• Comfortable and engaging when talking to people
• Reliable — shows up on time and follows through
• Able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Open to feedback and able to adjust quickly
• Positive, team-oriented mindset

No coffee experience required.

Training begins with a structured hands-on program alongside a dedicated trainer where you’ll learn the Blk Dot menu, espresso bar, guest service, and store operations.

Employees are not expected to perform at the level of experienced baristas immediately, but must demonstrate reliability, effort, and progress.

Who This Role Is Not For

This role is not a fit if you:

• Prefer working independently with minimal interaction
• Struggle to stay engaged in fast paced environments
• Have inconsistent availability or attendance
• Are not open to feedback or coaching

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay:

• Training (Days 1–5): $17/hour
• Post-Training (Days 6–90): $17/hour + daily shared tips
• After 90-Day Review: $18.50/hour + daily shared tips

Baristas receive a pay increase after completing training and demonstrating proficiency.
