Barista

Job Overview
We are a newly opening café focused on delivering high-quality coffee, specialty beverages, and a welcoming customer experience. We’re looking for experienced baristas who are passionate about craft beverages, creativity, and helping shape a unique café identity from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, cortados)
• Matcha drinks (traditional, iced, flavored, specialty blends)
• Chai (house-made or premium blends, hot and iced variations)
• Loose-leaf and brewed teas (black, green, herbal, specialty infusions)
• Specialty and seasonal drinks
• Steam milk and alternative milks (oat, almond, soy) to proper texture and temperature
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and engaging attitude
• Handle POS transactions accurately
• Assist with opening/closing duties
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations

• Contribute innovative drink ideas (seasonal specials, signature lattes, unique flavor pairings)
• Help develop key selling menu items, such as:
• Signature matcha creations (e.g., strawberry matcha, ceremonial blends)
• House chai recipes
• Specialty lattes (lavender, pistachio, rose, etc.)
• Wellness drinks (adaptogens, functional beverages)
• Participate in menu tastings and product development
• Suggest ways to enhance customer experience and café ambiance

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience required (1+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and milk steaming techniques
• Familiarity with matcha preparation and tea brewing methods
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Passion for coffee, tea, and hospitality
