Barista

Job Overview
Blackwood Coffee Bar is a independent Hollywood cafe looking for a part time Barista who cares about great coffee and providing warm hospitality. Base pay is $18.00 an hour plus on average $9.00 to $11.00 an hour in tips.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks
• Operate square POS system
• Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent service that exceeds expectations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with accuracy using retail math skills
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light meals as needed during busy periods

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Barista required
• familiarity with dialing in espresso and working with speciality coffee
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach
• reliable, punctual and positive team player
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment
• early morning and weekend availability

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
