Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a genuine love for coffee and food preparation. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, providing excellent service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Your ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced setting will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, dining spaces, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication

Requirements

• MUST have previous barista experience
• Part-time preferred
• HOURS: 8-2:30/2:30-10
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy café setting
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
