Barista

Overview
We are excited to bring Haraz Coffee House—an authentic Yemeni coffee experience—to the San Antonio Medical Center area, and we are seeking a passionate Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will help enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including front of house and back of house.
• Remain approachable at all times to ensure guest satisfaction and experience.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any concerns or questions in a kind and helpful way.
• Operate POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, notifying leads when stock is low, and keeping a organized structure.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during busy periods.

Skills

• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using POS systems
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Previous experience in food service or sales is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers positively.
• A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
