Job Overview
Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is looking for Counter staff and Baristas that enjoy working with people in an elegant and fast paced coffeehouse. Counter staff that enjoys working with people in an elegant and fast paced coffeehouse. Responsibilities include taking orders, serving, and preparing coffee drinks, teas, other beverages, desserts, and pastries.

Must have strong customer service skills, be friendly, fast, and efficient, enjoy drinking coffee or tea, and be passionate about quality coffee, tea, and pastries. Food service experience preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain proper cash handling and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Ensure prepared coffee, tea and espresso drinks are continually tested and always of highest quality.
• Keep café clean and organized.
• Educate customers and staff on types of coffee, teas and espressos carried.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Extraordinary customer interaction skills, always solution oriented with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE POSITION

Must have strong customer service skills, enjoy drinking coffee or tea, food service experience preferred but not required. Must be available on weekends.

• Cafe/Food Service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs.
• Previous experience with POS systems.
• Knowledge of proper bar cleaning methods including manual espresso equipment.
• Passionate about giving, upbeat, friendly and authentic customer service

Education:

o High school or equivalent

Pay: $9.50 - $12.00 per hour
