Role Overview

We’re looking for a personable, mindful, and reliable Barista / Beverage Curator to join our team. This role goes beyond traditional café service—you’ll craft high-quality specialty coffee and functional beverages while creating a welcoming, elevated experience for our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso drinks, kava, botanical teas, and other menu offerings
• Dial in espresso, maintain coffee equipment, and ensure consistent drink quality
• Educate guests on menu items, ingredients, effects, and flavor profiles
• Create a warm, inclusive, and community-oriented atmosphere
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, bar, and lounge areas
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory management
• Support events, workshops, and community gatherings as needed
• Assist with hookah setup and service (training provided if needed)
• Uphold house culture, values, and guest experience standards

Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, grounded, and confident in social settings
• Passionate about coffee, wellness, creativity, and community spaces
• Experience as a barista required; café, tea/kava bar, or lounge experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable engaging with artists, entrepreneurs, and remote professionals
• Able to multitask and stay calm in a dynamic environment
• Dependable and punctual

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso dialing, and latte art
• Familiarity with kava, herbalism, adaptogens, or functional beverages
• Hookah preparation experience
• Event hosting or community-building experience
• Light mixology or beverage innovation skills
