Barista Wanted for Local Café (Fairmount)

We’re an established cafe in the Fairmount cafe that prides itself on a reputation of friendlyatmosphere and quality. We’re looking for baristas with experience working in high-volume environments. Most of all, we value excellent customer service, our base is primarilyneighborhood locals who we’ve created great relationships with over the years.

Job expectations:

- Operate traditional espresso machines, pulling consistently high-quality espresso shots and

steaming milk to perfection.

- Work with artisanal roasts, particularly from Stumptown Roasters—experience in high-end

coffee processes is greatly valued.

- While latte art isn't a requirement, a fundamental understanding and capability to produce

basic designs are beneficial.

Ideal Candidate:

- Effective communication across teams, ensuring smooth operations.

- Strong multitasking skills, self-motivated to stay productive during shifts.

- Friendly and professional demeanor with customers, maintaining positivity regardless of the

café's pace.

- Keeps a tidy and organized workstation, adept at managing various tasks efficiently.

- Quick and quality-focused drink preparation, without compromising on the speed of service.

Position Details:

- Shifts must able to work 3-5 shifts between hours of 6:30AM-6PM. 6-7 hour per shifts.

Applicants with servsafe certification will be given priority

- Compensation: Hourly is $13 - $15 base rate + tips

$20-$24 per hour on average, with a guaranteed minimum total compensation of $20 per hour if tips do not meet that amount.
