Position Summary

We’re looking for an energetic and passionate Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in crafting great coffee and providing warm, attentive service to every guest. This role helps set the tone for the day by ensuring the café is welcoming, well-prepared, and running smoothly from the moment we open.

Key Responsibilities:

Opening preparation: Ensure the café is ready for the day by setting up the workspace, preparing brewing equipment, and organizing the service area for efficient operations.

Coffee expertise: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea beverages with care and consistency, following established recipes and quality standards.

Customer experience: Create a welcoming environment for guests—taking orders accurately, processing transactions, and offering knowledgeable recommendations about menu items.

Quality and presentation: Maintain high standards for beverage taste, appearance, and overall presentation throughout the shift.

Cleanliness and upkeep: Keep all areas clean, organized, and stocked, ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times.

Team collaboration: Support coworkers during busy times and contribute to a positive, cooperative work atmosphere.

Inventory awareness: Monitor supplies and communicate needs to maintain smooth daily operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Prior barista or customer service experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are necessary.

Friendly, customer-focused attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and learning new equipment.

Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. The opening barista must be present at 6:30am each day.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive motions.

$14/hour plus tips!
