Barista

Job Summary
At Island Provisions, we are looking for a hospitable front of house team member to join our team. This role encompasses positions such as cashier, barista, bartender, and/or food runner.

General Responsibilities

• Greeting guests upon arrival
• Taking orders and collecting payments
• Brewing and preparing coffee and tea, including espresso beverages, drip coffee, and cold brew
• Preparing coffee ingredients like syrups, chai concentrate, cold brew, etc.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation; restocking backup items as needed
• Stocking retail items
• Managing item stock counts
• Preparing online, phone, and take out orders
• Running and bagging food
• Cleaning dining room, bussing and wiping tables
• Assisting team members in other work areas

Not Required, but Helpful:

• Barista experience - dialing in/tasting espresso, proper milk steaming, crafting house syrups, making cold brew, brewing tea, etc.
• Beer and wine knowledge
• Clover POS experience (or other systems)
• ServSafe Food Handler's Certificate
