Barista

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
• Operate POS systems such as Clover POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including food prep stations and seating areas.
• Engage with customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using POS systems, ensuring proper cash reconciliation.
• Follow food safety protocols and food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Assist in preparation and serving light food items while adhering to health standards.
• Utilize time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and proper sanitation practices.
• Experience in food preparation or food industry roles is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.50 - $25.49 per hour
