Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Handle food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other café items according to safety standards
• Operate POS systems such as Square POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café area, including food handling and sanitation procedures
• Manage cash register transactions with accuracy using basic math skills and retail math principles
• Support food service operations by restocking supplies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of orders

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within a café or retail environment
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and retail transactions
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
