Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for coffee craftsmanship, extensive knowledge of roasting techniques, and experience working within food safety standards. As a Coffee Roaster, you will oversee the entire roasting process, ensuring the production of high-quality coffee beans while maintaining safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor coffee roasting equipment to produce consistent, high-quality roasted beans according to specified profiles.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all roasting machinery and work areas in compliance with HACCP, CGMP, and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory levels of raw beans, packaging materials, and other supplies within warehouse environments.
• Conduct regular quality checks on roasted beans, adjusting parameters to achieve desired flavor profiles.
• Follow food safety protocols throughout all stages of roasting, packaging, and storage processes.
• Assist with packaging roasted coffee for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Maintain mechanical knowledge of roasting equipment to troubleshoot issues promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in coffee roasting or related manufacturing roles within the food industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, CGMP, and sanitation practices.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on roasting equipment.
• Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and packaging processes.
• Familiarity with brewing techniques or craft beer production is a plus, reflecting a passion for beverage craftsmanship.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
