Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dial in espresso machines daily for optimal extraction
• Prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks and other beverages to spec
• Execute latte art to a professional standard
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment

Qualifications:

• 1+ years barista experience
• Expert knowledge of espresso dialing, milk steaming, and latte art
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Passion for specialty coffee and customer service excellence
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Engage in sales activities to promote menu items and encourage repeat business.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in using POS systems such as Square is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
