Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling and cashiering skills
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
• Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods to enhance the customer experience
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
• Engage with customers warmly, addressing inquiries about menu items, ingredients, or dietary needs to promote sales and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Bilingual
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations are essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in café settings
