Komeya No bento earned its TOP100 Places To Eat in the SF bay area in its first year of operation. We take pride in serving the high quality ceremonial matcha beverages with our own subtle recipes, along with premium bento boxes.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who will be serious about the position, to join our team to not only take Komeya further but also grow together.

Work schedule

Part-time: minimum 20 hours per week, weekend as needed.

Full-time: Tue-Sat from 10:00AM - 2:30PM & 4:00PM - 7:00PM (new business hours expected in the near future)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of matcha specialty beverages with precision and consistency
• Provide efficient and friendly service to every guest
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist with food packing and bagging as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.
• Follow health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.

Requirements

• Barista or related experience preferred but not required, as long as you are a fast learner.
• Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems operations is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace work environment.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
