Barista

As part of our team, you’ll greet guests with a smile, craft beverages with consistency and care, assist with donut finishing and presentation, and help create a welcoming café experience every day. Basic baking knowledge and an interest in pastry production are highly valued in this role. We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drink quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Assist with decorating and finishing donuts
• Serve guests efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner
• Provide excellent one-on-one guest service and engage warmly with customers
• Take orders, pack pastries, and craft coffee and specialty drinks
• Operate the Square POS system accurately
• Set up and maintain the donut display with clean, organized, and accurate signage
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café and workstations
• Follow opening and closing procedures according to SOP
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
• Stay detail-oriented and multitask efficiently during busy service periods
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of previous barista experience required
• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and quality service
• Basic baking knowledge or interest in pastry production preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Calm, professional, and focused under pressure
• Positive attitude, strong initiative, and dependable work ethic
• Takes pride in personal appearance and maintaining a clean workspace
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• California Food Handler Card required
