Overview
Citrus & Olive is a luxury mobile espresso bar serving weddings, corporate activations, private events, and upscale gatherings across Chicagoland.

We focus on elevated hospitality, intentional presentation, and creating a memorable guest experience through specialty coffee service. Our events range from intimate private celebrations to large-scale corporate and wedding environments.

This is not a traditional café position.
Our team operates in dynamic event settings where professionalism, calm energy, efficiency, and hospitality matter just as much as coffee quality.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Event Baristas to join our growing event team for the 2026 season.

This is a flexible, event-based role ideal for individuals who:

• enjoy hospitality and guest interaction
• work well in fast-paced environments
• appreciate premium aesthetics and presentation
• want flexible weekend and occasional weekday work

Most events take place evenings and weekends throughout the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages efficiently and consistently
• Deliver warm, professional hospitality to guests
• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
• Work collaboratively with lead baristas and event staff
• Represent the Citrus & Olive brand professionally at all times
• Operate efficiently during high-volume service periods

Menu Familiarity

Our menu includes:

• Espresso
• Americano
• Cortado
• Cappuccino
• Flat White
• Latte

Signature flavors may include:

• Vanilla
• Caramel
• Mocha
• Pistachio
• Spanish Latte
• Orange Blossom Cardamom

Additional seasonal drinks and specialty items may also be featured.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Barista or hospitality experience
• Experience in events, catering, restaurants, or customer service
• Familiarity with espresso workflow and milk steaming

Not required:

• We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong attitude and hospitality mindset.

• Reliable and punctual
• Professional in appearance and communication
• Calm under pressure
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to lift equipment and supplies as needed

Schedule

• Flexible event-based scheduling
• Primarily weekends with some weekday opportunities
• Shifts vary based on event size and service duration
• Advance notice provided whenever possible

Compensation

• Competitive hourly event pay
• Tips may be available depending on event structure
• Growth opportunities available for lead event roles

Location

Events are held throughout the Chicagoland area, including:

• Chicago
• Western suburbs
• Southwest suburbs
• North Shore
• Surrounding event venues and private locations

Reliable transportation is strongly preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
