Overview
We are seeking a hard working and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in our shop, preparing high-quality beverages and providing outstanding customer service. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using a POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; report any shortages to management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards while preparing food items.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and foster repeat business.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for handling transactions effectively.
• Experience using POS systems.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of different coffee varieties is desirable. Willingness to learn about the specialty coffee industry.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to assist customers effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
• A passion for coffee culture and commitment to delivering excellent service.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
