Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using established recipes and techniques.
• Operate POS systems including Toast to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar and market areas, including sanitizing work surfaces, restocking supplies and inventory, and adhering to food safety standards.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

• Prior barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is a plus!
• Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for retail math calculations.
• Experience with serving in a café or retail environment that emphasizes speed, accuracy, and positive interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
