Your Role as a Barista (I & II)

As a Barista at Brecotea, you are a key part of delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll craft beverages, serve pastries, and help maintain an efficient and welcoming café environment.

Depending on your experience, you’ll join as either:

• Barista I: No experience required; full training provided.
• Barista II: At least 1 year of barista experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, engaging service following our "WWW" model (Welcomed, Warmed, and With a Smile).
• Take orders accurately and prepare handcrafted boba teas, specialty coffee, and seasonal beverages.
• Assist guests with cake orders, customizations, and special requests.
• Ensure all food and beverages meet Brecotea’s quality and presentation standards.
• Promote daily specials, seasonal offerings, and upsell items to enhance guest experience.
• Operate espresso machines, tea brewers, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Use knives and kitchen tools to prepare fruits, garnishes, and ingredients.
• Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness during all prep tasks.
• Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized throughout shifts.
• Restock condiments, utensils, and supplies as needed.
• Monitor and clean equipment (espresso machines, grinders, blenders, etc.).
• Perform hourly restroom checks and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth café operations.
• Participate in team huddles, meetings, and check-ins led by management.

What You Bring

• Barista I: No experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Must pass Barista Proficiency Exam within 60 days.
• Barista II: Minimum 1 year of barista experience, plus demonstrated leadership or mentoring ability. Must pass Barista Proficiency Exam within 60 days.
• Strong customer service skills—enthusiastic, friendly, and able to engage with guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Willingness to learn and master all Brecotea menu items to make recommendations to guests.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience with POS systems, cash handling, and high-volume café service is a plus!
