Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating an exceptional café experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that each beverage is crafted to perfection. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures during preparation and service.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while managing time effectively during busy periods.
• Perform basic math calculations for order processing and cash handling tasks.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly demeanor.

Pay: $13.50 - $15.50 per hour
