Responsibilities

previous barista experience is required

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
• Greet customers warmly, taking their orders efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as toast POS.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards
• Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light food items as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
• Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits
• ice cream scooping and food service experience are a plus .

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry, with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks smoothly during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced café or retail environment
