The Role

We are looking for a Café Barista to join our Retail team in RAK, UAE. This role is responsible for providing a high‑quality, welcoming café experience for showroom visitors.

The Café Barista will prepare and serve complimentary beverages and light refreshments, maintain café presentation and hygiene standards, manage consumable stock, and support an exceptional showroom experience. This is a non‑commercial role with no cash handling responsibilities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Prepare espresso-based and specialty coffees, teas, and simple cold beverages in line with RAK Café standards
• Serve complimentary pastries and beverages with an attractive and professional presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including counters, seating, and display areas
• Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance of coffee machines, grinders, and equipment; report servicing needs
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and disposables; request replenishment and minimize waste
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen protocols; maintain logs and cleaning checklists
• Coordinate with showroom staff to ensure smooth guest flow and support special showroom events
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service; address basic queries or direct customers to showroom staff
• Complete daily and weekly checklists and maintain clear shift handover notes
• Support showroom experience by ensuring high standards of presentation and service at all times
• Assist with resolving customer concerns to maintain satisfaction and loyalty

What We Are Looking For

Some of the key competencies required for the role include:

Functional

• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction and milk texturing
• Familiarity with café equipment operation and maintenance
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and basic inventory management
• Ability to manage stock levels and minimize waste effectively
• Basic coordination skills to support showroom operations and events

Behavioural

• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and welcoming attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail in presentation and cleanliness
• Reliable, organized, and able to follow routines and checklists
• Team player with a proactive approach to supporting showroom operations

• Previous experience as a barista or in a hospitality/customer service role preferred
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and café operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends if required
• Strong commitment to hygiene, quality, and customer satisfaction
