Barista

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
• Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, sales transactions, and basic math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and dining spaces.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving light snacks or baked goods.
• Ensure timely order fulfillment through effective time management and multitasking skills.
• Uphold food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
