Barista

Job Overview

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food handling safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients; communicate needs to management as necessary.

Skills

• Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly POS, for order processing and cash handling.
• Experience in the food industry or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service roles is an advantage.
• A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and a passion for coffee culture are essential for success in this role.
