Our café is powered by Adam, an AI Robot Barista that prepares coffee, specialty beverages, and tea drinks with speed and precision while our team focuses on delivering an outstanding customer experience.

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Barista who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with new technology, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, providing exceptional customer service while working alongside Adam, our AI Robot Barista. While Adam prepares the beverages, you will assist customers, take orders, ensure smooth operations, maintain cleanliness, and help create a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest.

No robotics experience is required. Training will be provided on daily operations and basic troubleshooting of the robot system.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
• Introduce menu offerings and answer questions regarding ingredients, beverages, and food items
• Accurately take customer orders while paying attention to details and special requests
• Process customer payments (credit cards only)
• After customers place their orders, prepare cups and coordinate beverage production with the AI Robot Barista
• Deliver completed beverages and food items to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and inventory as needed
• Monitor robot and computer systems and perform basic troubleshooting when necessary
• Ensure all equipment remains clean and operational
• Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback and operational concerns to management
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Support teammates to ensure efficient and smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coffee shop, boba tea shop, café, bakery, restaurant, or customer service environment preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Interest in working with innovative technology
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• San Francisco Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous barista or boba tea experience
• Experience using POS systems
• Basic knowledge of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages
