Barista and Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our café team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that our café maintains a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy interacting with people, this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, a variety of sandwiches, and other menu items with precision and care.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Toast POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Uphold health and safety standards in food preparation and service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service; prior barista or café experience is preferred.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety standards.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
